No Offense

April 30, 2009

As a part of the National Organization for Marriage’s (NOM) Religious Liberty Ad campaign, the new “No Offense” ad highlights Miss California, Carrie Prejean, who lost her crown when she spoke up for marriage.

NOM: “In response to blogger Perez Hilton’s outrageous and demeaning comments directed toward Miss California, more and more Americans are beginning to recognize that tolerance is a one-way street for many same-sex marriage advocates. Even Human Rights Campaign President Joe Solmonese was unwilling to give an inch when pressed to support conscience protections for churches and other religious organizations.”

“This is a message the American people need to know. Same-sex marriage isn’t about what two people do in the privacy on their own home. It’s about the definition of marriage that the government imposes on all of us- and it will affect the rights of millions of Americans to live and worship as they choose.”

Catholic Charities in Massachusetts, public school education in Massachusetts and California, court cases involving doctors and photographers being sued….it is not a lie when we can point to actual cases where religious liberty has been negatively impacted.

Also, just look across our border- if “Hate Crimes” laws are passed like in Canada, a pastor could be thrown in jail for preaching the Bible and his faith. Is that what the First Amendment tells us?

i thank God for people like miss carrie prejean. we all need to stand for our faith in God and for God’s word. we need to fight for our nation. this is a spiritual battle. we need to be on our knees praying asking God for strength, His blessing, for Him to work in the hearts and minds of people. And then we need to get up off our knees and act on what we prayed, so God can bless ou work. we need to fight for the sake of our children and grandchildren
