Why Do I Have Two Daddies?
March 9, 2009
Todd Barrett and his partner Joe Witmore brought their 5-year-old daughter to rally against Proposition 8, the marriage amendment in California. He told reporters: “I don’t know how I would explain to her that Daddy and Pappa aren’t married anymore,” Barrett said. (1)
My question is, ”How do you explain to a 5-year-old daughter why she does not have a mother?”
When Rosie O’Donnell, probably the most famous lesbian mom, was asked by her son, “Why can’t I have a daddy?”, her response was:
“because I’m the kind of mommy who wants another mommy.” (2)
Her son’s question was simply directed toward the need of a child to have a father and a mother.
“The public purpose of marriage is primarily to take care of children from childhood to healthy adulthood. It’s purpose is legitimate. It’s tied to human well-being and the common good…and it thrives when men and women join together to parent children.”
“Anytime we intentionally remove an essential part of humanity from the family- be it male or female- we have a family that is missing a fundamental part of humanity and it will, therefore, fail to do the things society and children need it to do.” (3)
No law should intentionally create families that deny children a mother or a father. Same-sex families will always deny a child the care of a mother or a father.
“Love is not enough to help two dads guide a scared, young girl through her first period or help pick out her first bra. What kind of message would two lesbian moms teach a little girl about loving a man or a little boy about growing into a man?” (4)
What is best for children and society? To restrict marriage to ‘one man and one woman’. It’s not about the wants and desires of adults but the need for a mother and father to care for the next generation.

Why is it that we are demonized for our beliefs, yet the gays are given a free pass on everything?? There is NEVER any discussion on their side. All they want is to push their agenda down our throats and brainwash the youth into accepting their way of Life. If they want a Civil Union, that’s fine, but don’t change the true meaning of Marriage just because Hollywood says it’s OK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Most of them are NOT respected, or role models anyway!!!!!!!!!!!! Who’s going to be left in this world without people if we can’t multiply anymore????????????????????

O’Donnell’s response is typical homosexual narcissism: it’s all about ME, not the child. MY interests trump, the kid better get used to playing second fiddle because I’M the one who counts. ME, ME, ME–that’s the homosexual radical’s agenda in a nutshell.
