Who Deserves Respect?

So what do Aretha Franklin and the LGBT community have in common?
‘R-E-S-P-E-C-T’ is the hit tune leading them into the media spotlight.
Why do some people say that bigotry is believing marriage is between a husband and a wife? Why do they feel that thirty states who passed marriage protection amendments are intolerant of American values?
Some of the hostility directed at the passage of Marriage Amendments in California, Arizona and Florida seems to suggest that opposing same sex marriage is somehow disrespectful to alternate relationships. If the goal of same-sex ‘marriage’ activists is to validate the same-sex lifestyle and equate it with traditional marriage, then the recent results in those states suggest that the majority of voting Americans aren’t buying it.
Recognizing same-sex ‘marriage’ will destroy the meaning of the institution of marriage. “Once marriage is no longer about love or sexual exclusivity or raising children — when it is no longer about anything other than a set of “rights” — then it will no longer be an institution worth preserving.” (1) The issue of protecting marriage is protecting this institution from becoming obsolete.
Marriage is not just about two people who love each other. Marriage is about the creation of an institution that will best serve the next generation. Marriage is about bringing the sexes together for the preservation of the family.
Maintaining marriage as the exclusive union of husband and wife for the purpose of raising our next generation is worthy of the respect of all.

Same sex marriage goes against legal marriage because God willed, during the creation of Adam and Eve, that they become one, and He told Eve to “Be fruitful and multiply.” By Eve giving birth to children the Earth was populated. Same sex couples can’t give birth to children, thus, going against the eternal law of God. Same sex couples can adopt children, but for the children it isn’t the same as having a mother and a father. Children need the love and care of their mothers and the teaching and discipline of the fathers in order to become whole and sound in the way they live and have the right beliefs to back this up. Our country was, and is declared, One Nation Under God. We don’t need God’s anger sent down to us. We need His blessing and prosperity most of all.
