It all started when those two supposedly nice young women down at the end of the block had gotten married.

She said that shortly after that, her own marriage had started going down hill. First, her husband lost his job, and then he had started to drink, gamble, and stay out late at night, associating with the wrong kind of people. He had started to smoke, he swore a lot, and then she found out that he was cheating on her. Her children were getting into fights at school, their grades were dropping, and she was getting phone calls from their teachers.

In her own life, she was beginning to suffer from the heartbreak of psoriasis, she seemed to have B.O., and halitosis too, and she was beginning to think about divorce. And her wash? The colors just weren't bright anymore, and her underwear had gotten very dingy. She had started using the wrong detergent.

The dog had bitten the mailman, and there were dandelions and crabgrass everywhere. And all because of gay marriage.
