‘Tis the season…

December 5, 2007

This is always a beautiful time in Pennsylvania but the colder weather and shorter days can be a bit challenging.  Maybe that’s what’s so inviting about  the lights decorating trees, windows and houses this time of year.  Bright lights are a warm and welcome sight throughout the cities and towns of Pa.

Another “bright light” this season  is the perennial  movie  favorite, “It’s a Wonderful Life”. No matter  how many times it plays on cable tv, the story rings a familiar note reminding us of  the importance of family, especially in times of crisis.

Pennsylvania for Marriage wants to ensure that marriage between a mother and a father is protected and strengthened to offer the brightest future for our children. Please ask your Senator and Representative to support a marriage protection amendment now.

May your days be merry and bright…

Just once, I would like to hear how gay marriage threatens traditional marriage? What statistics have you read that scare you so much? How does what goes on in my household with my family threaten yours so easily?

  2. Fiona Swiney Says:

Legalized same sex marriage affects me because it affects my children. It affects what they learn in school and that dilutes the traditional catholic values that I am trying to teach them at home. Just look at what happened in Massachusettes last February, Federal Judge Mark Wolf ruled that parents Parkers and Wirthlins did not have the parental right to opt their kindergarten children out of a class normalizing homosexuality and giving schools virtually unlimited ability to normalize and promote homosexuality in classrooms. Parents were basically told by the courts, that their parental rights stopped at the threshold of the public school door. If same sex marriage is legalized the people who will suffer the most are the children, the next generation, because they will be taught that what is wrong is right and what is right is wrong.
